An unfair society

With Mama's 10,000 dollar check, she decided to split it three ways. The first thing she did was put a down payment on a new house. Part of the money was to go in Beneatha's bank account for medical school and the rest Mama generously gave to Walter for his business. Mama left it up to Walter to put the money into the two accounts at the bank. However, Walter made a huge mistake and ended up losing all the money. He became greedy about this liquor store and didn't put any money into Beneatha's account. Instead, he gave the money to his business partners to jump start the business. On top of all that, Mr. Lindner from Clybourne Park, the neighborhood where Mama purchased our new house, payed us a visit. The neighborhood was an all white rich folks area. Mr. Lindner represented the whole neighborhood by simply stating they didn't want us to move there. They wanted to keep it an all white area and felt that by us moving in it would ruin their high status. Although he offered us more money to buy a house somewhere else, Walter refused and kicked Mr. Lindner out of the house. I am appalled how this society runs itself and I feel it is extremely degrading.
